Include logs and large rocks at local playgrounds

Kids love looking for bugs.  Our play grounds are all beautiful but they don't encourage interaction with nature.

It would be awesome if we could add nature discovery areas to some of our playgrounds.  (Poplar Park first because of its use by the preschool.)

It could be an area with a border that includes some logs and rocks that can be turned over to examine insects beneath.  The logs would also offer an opportunity to watch the decomposition process.

This area could even be used to dig for worms!

I picture a sign beside the area explaining it is for nature discovery.  Maybe include pictures of the kind of nature that can be found under the log.
